Taken from the World Cup III 2015
As can be expected the standard roster was:
Tree, 2 Wardancers, Thrower, 3 Catchers, 4 Linemen. (Sometimes the Thrower was swapped for another Catcher.)
Either two Rerolls or just the one and an Apothecary. When an Apothecary was selected the Leader Skill was taken to give a minimum of two Rerolls. Two or Three rerolls did not correlate to more Points (Win=3, Draw=1, Loss=1).
About half of the time Kick was chosen, less often at the top and the bottom of the rankings.
Trees where given skills about half the time, the most often selected Tree Skill was Grab (14 times), then Block or Guard 1/10th of the time. Jump Up and Leader where selected twice each.
Wardancers where almost always given skills, one was almost always StripBall, the other either Tackle or Frenzy or Mighty Blow, or occasionally Sure Hands or Side Step.
The most common double skill by far was Guard for a Catcher, with Mightly Blow for a War Dancer (14 times), Guard for a Lineman and Block or Leader for the Tree completes the numbers (13 times no double was taken).
Wrestle was a very common skill for Linemen followed by Dodge.
However the Elephant in the Room is, how did Muadib win Best Wood Elf with only 1 Catcher and no Strip Ball? His Tree had Guard, Wardancers Tackle and Mightly Blow, the Catcher and 3 Linemen Block. This implies there is a different, and possibly better, way of playing Wood Elves.
He was not playing with a bad team, they where 6th overall. He is ranked 4th Wood Elf coach on the NAF so he is consistently good.
