Garricks Prospective Roster
Stats and rosters from Eurobowl 2016 This is the format that will be used in all analyses. Rosters are in order of who scored the most points and contains useful information such as starting NAF rating, the strength of opposition, opponents accumulated points and W/D/L record. You can also see which positionals were taken and what skills were taken.

My 2 cents;
All builds are pretty similar.I'm sure Garrick is used to his roster and how it plays but it is interesting to contrast it against the rest.
I notice A change from 2016 were Garrick has now dropped the assassin.
This roster has some good points such as wrestle on a witch and all the blodge. It also has a substitute which is a luxury in most Dark Elf teams.
Would an apothecary not be a better investment than a lineman I wonder?? Also, would it be pertinent to drop a blodger to take leader for a total of 3 rerolls?

I agree Ant would probably forgoe a Blodger for a leader.
I would also potentially swap a lino for a second runner (more speed) or assasin (something different) instead of the FF?
I like 12 no apo tbh

I think 3 RRs is better than a 4th blodger - but I'm sure Garrick has play tested it, and if he always ends up with a RR spare then he has his answer. I agree with 12 players and no APO on the basis that it is one less thing to worry about whether you're using it correctly or not, and also helps out vs KOs.

All valid points except that I only have 11 players not 12 . The main choice with Dark Elves is (both 11 man rosters): 6 Blodgers (including Wrestle/Dodge) / 2 Rerolls or 5 Blodgers / 3 Rerolls. You cam finesse this by taking an Apo instead of one of the Rerolls. If you go for the more popular (8/14 in 2016 table) 5 Blodgers / 3 Rerolls then there are many other options: 2 or 1 Witches balanced against 3 or 4 Blitzers, Leader or Dodge on the Runner. I go for the less popular (6/14 in 2016 table) 6 Blodgers / 2 Rerolls / 2 Fan Factor because I think the extra Blodger is more useful than an extra Reroll. I go for Blodgers rather than Leap on a Blitzer, Dodge or Leader on the Runner. I recently stopped using an Assassin as the competitive playing community has matured and the assassin no longer creates the confusion it used to, this releases TV20k which i now put into Fan Factor and reduces the number of AV7 players I have to 3. I don't like Dodge on the Runner as I try and play to avoid him having to utilise Dodge on a regular basis. I play a dodge away and defend style so I find Blodgers more useful than Rerolls and Apothecaries. It would be useful to see the stats for the 2017 Eurobowl as I played Andydavo in that and I am pretty sure he had moved to the 5 Blodgers / 3 Rerolls roster which is something I am currently evaluating, possibly with a single witch and 1 fan factor.

I played AndyDavo at the weekend - his line up for that which he did say he was experimenting with was: 3x Blitzers - all Dodge 2x Witch - Block/Wrestle Runner - Dodge (not Leader!) 5x Lino Apo 2RR Think he was finding the Block on one Witch useful for killing skinks, catchers etc useful after moving over from his previously favored Double Wrestle Witches - so a vote fo r you there Graham

I find Block and Wrestle on the Witches to be the best combination. I thought Andydavo had gone from 6 to 5 Blodgers / Wodgers and this confirms it. Podfrey won the NAFC with a 4 Blitzer, 1 Witch, 1 Runner, 5 lino roster - not sure if he want Apo + 2RR or 3RR but he certainly enjoyed minimising the number of AV7 players he had.
