My two cents Most people take something completely different from me. Two Ulfs and two rerolls.
I am in the process of trying a new roster. inspired by Ralphs minimalist methodology. I trialed this roster at the recent team scotland workshop and I was very successful with 3 wins out of 3.
My roster:
12 players and an Apothecary. The reserve and the chance to bring a player back are really important for an armour 7 team.
I prefer only 1 Ulf because although the strength 4 is very useful, they are a liability and must be given block or wrestle. This is a skill which I could use elsewhere.
I have 3 rostered rerolls which means I dont need a thrower with leader. This again frees up a skill for use elsewhere.
I have both sure hands and a blodger for ball handling depending on the situational requirement.
2 guarding berserkers are very useful players. guard on these players is not necessarily the most optimal placement of the skill but it is my best option for guard.
I intend to use this roster at Burger Bowl to see if I can maintain my winning streak

I like it. Any thoughts at all about dropping the yhetee? If the maths worked then I would be tempted to swap a yhetee and a lino for an ulf and a runner, but I don't think it does.

I know you're not a fan of the big guy but he can be a game changer. He is at least a massive threat if anything.
If you take the combined value of the yhetee and my spare lino then that's 190k. An Ulf and a Runner is 200k so math doesn't work out unfortunately

This is very similar to the roster that I use (initially given to me by Lycos over 4 years ago). I field an extra lineman rather than an Apothecary and Tackle rather than Sure Hands. 1) extra lineman rather than an Apothecary - as Norse Linemen are excellent, he is more reliable as a reserve that an Apothecary. 2) Tackle rather than Sure Hands - Elves have always been an issue for me with Norse and killing them works well . Having said that Apothecary and Sure Hands are also good choices.

I think the big guy is a solid pick against bash teams, and like Ant says a threat for the opponent to worry about.
Regarding skill choices, I would say Sure Hands is actually more effective than Tackle against elf teams. From my own experience against Norse teams, I'm always looking for a chance to reliably sack the ball carrier using my Strip Baller, and a sure hands player just decreases my odds even further.
HOWEVER, I do also understand that not many teams except for Woodies take Strip Ball as a "must have", and instead take wrestle in which case sure hands is just a fluff in terms of defense. But then again sure hands has the added benefit of saving rerolls and making results like "Pouring Rain" more managable.
It's definitely a tough decision between the two skills, if you're using the Ulf/Yhetee a lot more for blitzing then Tackle might be less effective, and does nothing against Dwarves whereas Sure Hands will always have a use in any matchup.
Besides, they do say Frenzy is a poor man's Tackle, and you do have 4 of them on your roster!

I think Sean makes a solid case for Sure Hands over Tackle.

I don't think anything needs added here. I do like that roster.
