In summary, the Captain has chosen the 8 and is in the process of letting those who expressed interest in going to Sweden but didn't make the Eurobowl 8.
Anyone willing to comment on what the next step will be, is The Don going to release the 8 with suggested races or just the 8 with no race assumptions/suggestions?
Also will further discussions go to a private forum?

What do you mean both, there are at least three - Dave M, Dave M and Dave M - dammit that's not going to work either is it.
Highly unlikely I would go to France this June so you can have a Dave M and a David M

On the last point, all those things on Muadibs team point to an 'attacking strategy' guard on Tree, Mighty Blow on WD, Block on Linos rather than Dodge. Suggests that his elves fought rather than ran. Success here may be due more to his elves not doing what people expect and therefore gaining an advantage by side-stepping peoples experience of trying to play against Wood Elves - if so it's not so much a better strategy, just different. If an inexperienced coach tried to play the W Elves the way he did they may find it much trickier to get good results than with the standard 'best strategy'.

So the 900 in the second post is correct, it's the 900 in the first post that is wrong i.e. it is £75 pp for 3 nights

Just to clarify something from above: it's 900 SEK per room for 4 per night, so total is 2700 SEK for 4 people for 3 nights so 675 SEK per person = ~£56
Assume £75 was a typo or have I misunderstood?

Think this now links to the other thread where until ll Capitano can break good/bad news to people then this can't progress much.
Slann are an interesting team I took them to a one dayer, Catcher and Blitzer build, no Krox. My thinking was one of the Slann pros is their ability to 'redeploy' very quickly but the Krox although fast is easily tied up by any team with 'fodder' to fee him a Zombie/Lino. I found the difference between the Catchers and Blitzer's 2+/3+ leap and dodge really comes to be a challenge and the lack of Basic Block/Dodge leaves you behind the curve and decent coaches, which you are bound to meet in Eurobowl, will exploit this.
I think they would be a difficult team to do exceptionally well with but wouldn't quibble if someone wanted to take them to Eurobowl

My understanding is that the claw/MB combo is the way to go strategy for removing pesky Dwarfs, Orcs, Saurus, etc hence strong argument for

On Necro specifically, I know it's a debate in itself (about MB on a WW) but you're either getting the 20k for positionals or Mighty Blow on one of the wolves, which way would people go?

At which point does personal preference come in? Basically there have been two diametrically opposite viewpoints illustrated in the last couple of posts i.e. 'Tackle Heavy' - Dwarf & Chorf in the mix and 'Dodge Heavy' see above. At some point you have to start factoring in what people are good with/comfortable taking.
Is it worth at this point filling in the agreed first choices - WElf, Undead, DElf and Lizards and then look at the best mix for the remaining 4 spots including 'ethos' - 'Tackle Heavy', 'Dodge Heavy', 'Rule-set Supported' (Necro/other Elf)?

He just won my tournament with High Elves Back on point, if I am in the team I'm more than happy to play Lizards if no else actively wants them.

It caught my eye that High Elves were included before Pro, generally in a tournament setting I would put Pro above High, and on the subject probably put Human and Orc before both.
